midweek updates!
a litany of bugfixes, features, and UX improvements after playtest feedback!
previously, drawing through your full deck would result in an 'empty world' card prompting you to create more content. now, the prompt is more explicit, and it automatically generates a valid creation sentence based on your input query and most recent speaker, improving iteration time.
world saving and world loading is here! hit escape ingame to open the 'menu' hand, and play through to access one of the three available save slots. deckspace writes to .deck files in the same directory as the executable. this feature (and everything else) is still undergoing testing. deleting 'essential' cards might do funny things.
question cards are now located in the east, along with the other 'engine' cards.
the 'type system' has undergone a first revision past the original stubbed out implementation. you can now create kind cards explicitly, which will inherit relationships from parents. thing, action, and trait kinds are supported, which can be individually filtered and subtyped. this makes filter queries more powerful (which weapon was the murder weapon? what mood is the butler in? which resident is janet annoyed by?), makes creation queries more powerful (you'll get more specific kinds of stuff to do from your create what ? questions) and reduces duplicate work a bit.
and much more! broadly, the language is getting more powerful and hopefully more intuitive. I'm interested in constraining the kinds of sentences you can make less overall--I prefer allowing false positives over blocking false negatives--and keeping the constraints where they belong: in the deck Q&A. similarly, the fewer arbitrary semantics, the better.
